Venue: Corner of Railway Avenue and Cammillo Road, Kelmscott
Farmers’ markets are growing in popularity around Australia. The South Metropolitan Public Health Unit and the City of Armadale established the Armadale Producers Market Inc in 2008 with our first market held on the 9th November 2008.
The markets sell seasonal, Western Australian produce grown, or value added to and meet the needs of a niche market of people who want fresh, seasonal produce.
The markets are now held at the Kelmscott Senior High School Agriculture Centre every third Sunday morning of the month from 8.30am until 12.00pm. The centre is located at the corner of Railway Avenue and Cammillo Road in Kelmscott.
EVERY month a range of fresh, quality seasonal produce is available including vegetables, fruit,, jams, preserves, pickles.
A special treat at this months market will be Thai Cuisine, Hot Bread and Danishes. The home economic students will be cooking a BBQ breakfast of bacon, sausage and egg rolls as well as tea and percolated coffee.
If the hens are laying at the farm there will also be fresh eggs available.
Entertainment will include local buskers, an oppurtunity to feed and pat the animals at the farm as well as a childrens playground.
The next market will be on September 19th
See you on Sunday!
