NATIONAL PARKS

There are many great national parks in the state of W.A. They all have excellent walk trails which take in spectacular surroundings. Close to Armadale are the Serpentine National Park, Kalamunda National Park and the Canning National Park.

The DEC manages more than 25 million hectares that comprise the national parks, marine parks, conservation parks, regional parks, State forest, timber reserves and nature reserves.

It is also responsible for the on-ground management of nearly 87 million hectares of unallocated Crown land and 2.2 million hectares of unmanaged reserves.

Each year 11 million visitors come to our national parks and other reserves. Please remember that pets are prohibited and the picking of wildflowers and other flora is illegal in the national parks.
