In today's busy society, we can often become caught up in the pace of life and not take time to appreciate some of the wonderful attractions we have on our doorstep.

The area know as HERITAGE COUNTRY comprises the local governments of Armadale, Gosnells and Serpentine-Jarrahdale, and is an area that is rich in history and heritage.

We are also fortunate to have some of the most outstanding areas of natural bushland within proximity of the Perth metropolitan area.

There are over 34 different walks within our area and these feature some of the unique natural and heritage attractions of our district.  The City of Armadale has produce a small booklet 'Heritage Country Trails' that provides details of these walks.                                               The book is available from the Armadale Visitor Centre at 40 Jull Street in Armadale.

PUT ON YOUR WALKING SHOES AND SEE WHAT'S OUT THERE!  

                  

PLEASE NOTE WHEN BUSHWALKING  -  Personal safety is a matter of consideration and common sense.

  • DO:  Wear suitable shoes and clothing.  Take a hat and sun protection.  Take plenty of water with you. Tell someone where you are going, and when you will return.   Take all of your rubbish away with you.   Remove valuables from sight and lock-up when you leave your car.   ENJOY YOUR WALK.
  • DO NOT: Wander away from the designated trail.  Pick wildflowers or native flora - it is an offence.   Light fires, unless in an area designated for that purpose.   Do not take pets with you unless you have checked that they are permitted in that area.   Pets are NOT allowed in National Parks, in water catchment areas or in nature reserves.    Do not disturb native fauna, or disturb rocks, logs etc that may provide habitat for fauna.
