Live at the Chapel - An Evening of Celtic Woodwinds

A special Mother’s Day concert set in the old Minnawarra Chapel. Experience the magic of ancient tunes played on handmade acoustic woodwind instruments including the Irish wooden flute, uilleann pipes and whistles. Chris Horgan and friends perform a fusion of Celtic tunes on a range of traditional Irish instruments, from haunting laments to lively jigs and reels.

Chris Horgan is an Australian born, Roleystone instrumentalist of 30 years with strong Irish ancestral roots. Living in Ireland for 3 years, he immersed himself in traditional Irish Culture. A regular player in the Jarrah Celts band, Chris plays a fusion of Australian and Celtic styles on a variety of acoustic instruments such as the wooden Irish Flute, penny whistles, Uilleann Pipes, Didgeridoo and the Bodhran Celtic drum.
