City of Armadale Recognised at Tourism Awards
Armadale’s best practice approach to tourism has been acknowledged with a bronze award in the category of Local Government Award for Tourism at the recent Perth Airport WA Tourism awards.
The Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards recognise the quality and diversity of tourism attractions, amenities and experiences that Western Australia has to offer.
City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the City of Armadale has focused on tourism over recent years, achieving several objectives of the City’s Tourism Strategy.
The recent launch of our Perth Hills Armadale Regional Guide showcased just how many quality accommodation and food providers are based in Armadale, as well as the many attractions on offer for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Available at the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre, or online, the Regional Guide offers a ‘go to’ booklet for residents hosting family and friends over the festive season.

A New Style of Yoga Arrives in the Perth Hills
Vishrant Yoga is a new style of yoga led by experienced teachers at the sanctuary of Restful Waters Meditation Centre in Bedfordale.
Today’s society continues to struggle with stress, with people rushing around from one thing to another, ticking things off the to-do list, busy with work and family, without sparing enough time to take a break and relax. Many yoga styles focus on strengthening, tightening and toning the body through asanas (postures), whereas the practice of Vishrant Yoga incorporates meditation, breath work and gentle postures with one goal in mind and that is restfulness.
Classes are held morning and night from Monday to Saturday, and all residents and visitors are invited to join and find peace at Restful Waters in Bedfordale. Beginners are most welcome, with all mats and props are provided. To find out more about classes, events and services head to www.restfulwaters.org.
