I’M A FAMILY FUN SEEKER

The Perth school holiday break is here.

There’s so much to see and do around the city, especially just out of town; so we’re encouraging you to take the kids out to explore the fun on offer in the Perth Hills and Armadale region.

Here’s some great ideas to inspire you to get out and explore the family fun on offer these school holidays.

Meet the locals

Get up close and personal with our Aussie icons, the Perth Hills Armadale region is home to two wildlife parks offering a fun and interactive family day out.

Cuddle koalas at Cohunu Koala Park, hand feed the roaming kangaroos and wallabies and have a chat with over 30 talking parrots!

To meet the less furry locals, head to the Armadale Reptile and Wildlife Centre on South Western Highway; home to over 70 different species you’ll learn about snakes, lizards, turtles, fruit bats and many more.

If you are up for a challenge, head to Bungendore Park.

Many native species like wallabies, quendas and the forest red-tailed black cockatoo can be spotted here, but you’ll have to be patient! Call in for maps from the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre.

Playtime, anytime

Get off the iPads and get into a playground. You’ll find an array of fun outdoor parks and playgrounds sure to excite the imagination.

Check out our favourites:

Lions Park, corner Carradine Road and Angorra Road in Armadale.

Armadale’s newest playground has a race track inspired design, including stop and give way signs as well as jungle drums and a double swing.
